Who is responsible?

Henning Renita Yde, The Evolution of Bikes, is the data controller for the processing of personal data on this website.

What do we store?

We store the title, place, period and story or comment you write, as well as your name, email address, choice of credit, and any photographs and information about them that you submit. For comments, we also store the address of the story to which the contribution belongs. Limited technical information is stored to protect against misuse.

Why, and on what legal basis?

The information is used to receive, assess, research and edit stories and comments, contact you about missing details and prepare a possible publication. Processing is based on your consent. A submission is not published automatically, and your email address is never displayed on the website.

Who processes the information?

The material is available only to the editorial team and trusted data processors providing technical storage. The form's private database and images are stored with Supabase. The information is not sold or used for marketing.

The newsletter

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address and evidence of your consent. The information is used only to send news from The Evolution of Bikes. Subscriptions and mailings are handled by Brevo as a data processor, and you must confirm your subscription by email.

You may withdraw your consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in the newsletter. Mailings will then stop, and the information will be deleted or restricted to what is necessary to document the previous subscription.

How long do we keep it?

Submissions that are not taken further are deleted no later than 12 months after the editorial decision. If a story is published, the material and necessary documentation of permissions may be retained for as long as the story remains published, or as long as needed to document the basis for publication.

Your rights

You may withdraw your consent and request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of your information. You may also object to the processing. Write to hyde@hyde.dk. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out.

You may lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency. No automated decisions or profiling take place.

Advertising measurement

If you separately select advertising measurement in Cookie settings, we load Google Ads tag AW-17314847179. Google may use cookies and information about your visits and ad clicks to measure our ads. Advertising personalisation is disabled. This choice is optional and saved for up to 180 days. You can change it in Cookie settings; withdrawing consent reloads the page, stops measurement and deletes this site’s Google measurement cookies. Google may process data outside the EU/EEA. See Google’s privacy policy.

Visitor statistics and cookies

If you accept statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and where visitors come from. Google receives information about your visits, browser and device and uses cookies to distinguish visits. We do not enable Google Signals or advertising personalisation.

Google Analytics only loads after you accept. If you reject statistics, this statistics feature sends no information to Google. Your choice is saved in your browser for up to 180 days; statistics cookies are also set to 180 days. You can change your choice or withdraw consent through Cookie settings at the bottom of the page. Withdrawing consent stops measurement and deletes this site's Google Analytics cookies.

Google processes statistics data and may process it outside the EU/EEA. Read Google's privacy policy for more information. Statistics cover only visitors who accept and therefore do not provide a complete visitor count.
